We offer you our Torridon rate promise, which guarantees that our best available rates in any category will be available when you book on-line direct.

Children aged 2-10 yrs sharing a room with their parents are charged £50.00 for bed & breakfast. Children 0-2 years are free.

Dinner: You can book either our 1887 restaurant or Bo & Muc. A table for dinner maybe reserved for you at a time that you would like based on availability. Please note dress requirement is smart but casual in our 1887 restaurant. However we would ask that you wear what ever makes you feel comfortable. Please note that we do not hold tables for residents and that we ask you to book as soon as you know to avoid disappointment.

Reservations: A non-refundable deposit of the first night of your stay is required to secure the booking. We respectfully remind our guests that a booking represents a contract between themselves and The Torridon. In the event of cancellation or curtailment a charge will be incurred unless we are able to re-let the room.

We strongly advise guests to take out travel insurance against unforeseen cancellation.

Confirmation: All bookings made by telephone must be confirmed by email. Bookings made on-line from this site will be confirmed by email.

Payment: Your account may be settled by cash, Visa, Amex, Mastercard.

Due to our remote geographical location the following deposit & cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay is required at the time of booking.

Cancellations

Should the booking be cancelled prior to noon 14 days ahead of planned arrival the deposit can be transferred to another stay of your choice. Should the booking be cancelled after 14 days to arrival, you will be charged 100% of your stay less the non-refundable deposit already paid. If it is possible to re-sell the room(s) then the original deposit can be transferred to another stay and the balance will be refunded.

The Torridon strongly advises that you take out holiday insurance that provides you with coverage in the event of a cancellation either due to travel, personal or covid reasons

Please note that all cancellations must be made in writing to info@thetorridon.com – we are unable to take cancellations over the telephone.

We have a special children’s menu and Chef is more than happy to prepare anything your child may wish.

No dogs are allowed in the main house but we have our Deluxe Suite where dogs are allowed and they may also have the run of the grounds under supervision.

Dogs are allowed in the Beinn Bar but not in the Bo & Muc restaurant. We have ground floor rooms at The Stables where dogs are allowed and they may also have the run of the grounds under supervision.

Driver Eligibility:

Drivers must be between the ages of 25-75.
Drivers must hold a full UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points on the license in the last 5 years or be eligible to hire a car in the UK.
Driver must be a guest of The Torridon at the time of hire.
Hire Costs and Information:

The cost of hiring the car for one day is £450.
A 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking.
One full day’s hire is between 9:00am – 8:00pm and can be any day of the week.
It is possible to hire on multiple days but please be aware the car must be stored at The Torridon overnight for insurance purposes.
On the day of hire a member of staff will conduct a full induction with you on the car’s features. We will also document any existing damage.
On return, the vehicle will undergo a full inspection.
We will ask that all drivers bring their full driving license with them on the day and agree prior to stay to complete a booking form and standard insurance form which includes questions relating to medical/driving history and endorsements.
Excess and Damage Information:

• For minor damage, we do have an estimate of costs sheet that covers ‘typical damage’ such as wheel or bumper replacement or small scratches. This is
to ensure there will be no uncertainties overshadowing your stay and will be presented upon booking with our terms and conditions and other information.

• For any bodyshop work we feel we can have fixed for under £300 based on our agreement with a local body shop will be charged at £300. We will reimburse you the difference (if any) once the works have been completed.

• When the damage is beyond what we consider minimal and an insurance claim needs to be made we will ask you for the full excess amount. In the event of a claim, an excess of £2000 will be charged against your room account.

Cancellation Charges: If you cancel up to 15 days prior to the booking we will provide a full refund. If you cancel between 3-14 days prior to the booking you will be charged 20% of the total booking cost. If you cancel 48 hours prior to your booking then we will charge 100% of the total booking cost.

Date and time changes of existing bookings are subject to availability. Please do take out holiday insurance in the event of a cancellation.
If we have to cancel the activity booking due to unforeseen circumstances or unfavourable weather conditions we will always try to offer an alternative activity or reschedule where possible.
If these alternative options don’t work for you and your plans, then a full refund will be made.
